Terms of service

besummoned lets anyone create an event page and invite people with a link, without accounts. Using the service, whether in a browser or through an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude, means you accept these terms. They are written to be read, not to be scrolled past.

The service

besummoned is provided free of charge, as is, without a guarantee that it is always available or free of errors. Events, guest lists and links can be lost if something breaks, so keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. The service may change or shut down; if it ever shuts down, reasonable notice will be given on the website.

Your events and your responsibility

What you put in an event stays yours. By publishing it you let besummoned store and show it to the people you share the link with, which is the whole point of the service. You are responsible for what you publish: no unlawful content or events, no harassment, no misleading invitations, and nothing that infringes someone else's rights. Hosts are responsible for handling their guests' names and email addresses with care and only for running the event.

Fair use

Do not spam the service with automated event creation, harvest data from event pages, or try to get around the rate limits. Events that violate these terms can be removed without notice, and abusive traffic can be blocked.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, besummoned is not liable for damages arising from using the service, from content hosts publish, or from an event not going as planned. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Privacy

What is stored and how to get it removed is described on the privacy page.

Changes and contact

These terms can change; the current version always lives at this address, and meaningful changes will be visible here. The service is operated from Norway and Norwegian law applies. Questions and complaints reach a human on Bluesky.
